Request Account & Data Deletion

You can ask Divvy to delete your account and the data associated with it at any time. This page explains how to make the request, what we remove, and how long it takes.

Last updated July 10, 2026 · Applies to the Divvy app (divvysoftware.com) and website

How to request deletion

Option 1 — Email us

Send an email to support@divvysoftware.com from the email address on your Divvy account, with the subject line "Delete my account and data". So we can locate and verify your account, please include your restaurant name. We may ask a follow-up question to confirm you own the account before we proceed.

Option 2 — Ask in the app

If you are a restaurant owner or admin, you can remove individual team members from the Employees screen. To delete your entire workspace and all of its data, contact us using Option 1 and we will complete the deletion for you.

Verification

To protect your team's data, we verify that a deletion request comes from the account owner before deleting anything.

What gets deleted

When we process your request, we permanently delete:

What we may retain

We may keep a limited set of information after deletion where the law requires it or to prevent fraud — for example, minimal billing and tax records associated with payments already made. We may also keep anonymized, aggregated data that can no longer be linked to you or your restaurant.

How long it takes

We complete verified deletion requests within 30 days. Backups are purged on our normal rotation shortly afterward. We will confirm by email once your data has been deleted.
